Abhay Deol is an Indian Film actor, and producer, who best known in Bollywood. He was raised in the Deol family which is an influential family of Hindi Film Industry. He was born on 15th March 1976, in Chandigarh, Punjab, India. He is son of Ajit and Usha Deol. And the nephew of Bollywood mega stars Dharmendra, and the cousin of B town actress Esha Deol, Ahana Deol, and famous Bollywood actors Bobby Deol & Sunny Deol. He completed his graduation from University of Mumbai. He was involved in theatre since his school days, but he entered into the entertainment world after completing his two years of acting course. Abhay Deol made his Bollywood debut in year 2005,with Imtiaz Ali’s directorial venture ‘Socha Na Tha’. He was also seen in the flick ‘Ahista Ahista’, in 2006 alongside Soha Ali Khan and Shayan Munshi. Then in 2007, he appeared in ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd’ ,which had a multi star cast and that film has gained huge appreciation and success at the Box office. Then in the same year he acted in ‘Ek Chalis Ki Last Local’ and then he did third movie in that ongoing year called ‘Manorama Six Feet Under’, which garnered as the Best Film at the Mahindra Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival, New York City. Also he won the award of Best Actor for his brilliant performance. In year 2009, he appeared in Anurag Kashyap’s romantic black comedy drama ‘ Dev.D’ for the title role of Devdas. He was also worked in ‘Road’ movie opposite Tannishtha Chatterjee. Abhay has own Production Company named as Forbidden Films, under his new production house he made his first film called ‘Basra’. In year 2010, he also did a special item number for the flick ‘Tera Kya Hoga Johnny’. And also appeared in the movie ‘Aisha’ co-starring with Sonam Kapoor. Then in year 2011, he featured in comedy dram flick ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ alongside Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif & Kalki Koechlin. The movie opened to great acclaim and meanwhile grossed huge business worldwide. For this film he earned his first nomination for the Best Supporting role in Filmfare Award. Thereafter, he has received critical acclaim for his role in some of the movies, such as’ Chakravyuh’ (2012), ‘Shanghai’(2012) and ‘Raanjhanaa’ (2013).
