Abhishek Bachchan is an Indian Film actor, producer and playback singer. He was born on 5th February, 1976, in Mumbai, India. He is the son of Bollywood mega stars Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri Bachchan. He is brother to Shweta, and the grandson of Harivansh Rai Bachchan, who was one of the famous Hindi and Urdu Poet. Abhishek Bachchan studied at the Jamnabai Narsee School & Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai, also attended Modern School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. After finishing schooling he went to Aiglon College in Switzerland for completing his further studies. He then pursued his education through Bostan University. After the accomplishment of education he decided to try out his luck in acting field, so he subsequently moved to Bollywood. In year 2000, Junior Bachchan made his film debut playing male lead role in the J.P Dutta’s war drama flick ‘Refugee’ alongside Kareena Kapoor who was also making her big screen debut. Although movie did not perform well at the box office, but he earned appreciation from critics for his performance. Thereafter he starred in a series of unsuccessful films that failed to mark good business at the box office. In 2003,he acted in Sooraj R. Barjatya’s romantic dramedy ‘Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon’, for his performance he earned his first nomination for the Best Supporting Actor in Filmfare award. Then he won award for his performance in Mani Ratnam’s political dram flick which was released in 2004. In the same year he better established himself in the Hindi Cinema, through blockbuster hit action thriller film ’Dhoom’, which also starred Uday Chopra, John Abraham, Esha Deol, & Rimi Sen in lead roles. His next two released were ‘Phir Milenge’ (2004) and ‘Naach’ (2004). His first released of 2005 was the crime comedy flick ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ alongside Rani Mukerji and his father Amitabh Bachchan this movie emerged as second highest grossing film of that year. Also he got nominated for the Filmfare award for the Best Actor. Then he was seen Ram Gopal Varma’s �����Sarkar’ which was received moderate success at the box office.
His next two films were’ Dus’ (2005) ‘Bluffmaster’ (2005). Then he did Karan Johar’s critically praised romantic drama flick ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ (2006) for which he bagged Filmfare award for Best Supporting Actor. In the movie ‘Umrao Jaan’ (2006) he starred opposite Aishwarya Rai which was remake of the 1981’s film with same name, and starring Rekha and Farooq Sheikh in the lead roles. He was then appeared in ‘Dhoom2��� (2006) which was sequel of 2004’s Dhoom, alongside new cast members such as Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai, & Bipasha Basu, which was became highest grossing film of the year 2006. In year 2007, he earned lot of critical acclaim for his performance in Mani Ratnam’s film ���Guru’. Since, 2007, he has been married to B-Town actress Aishwarya Rai and they have a daughter named Aaradhya. He also worked in several movies such as, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (2007), Sarkar Raj (2008), ‘fantasy adventure film Drona ‘(2008), ‘Dostana’ (2008), ‘Delhi-6’ (2009), He garnered National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi for his performance in the family drama flick ‘Paa’ (2009), ‘Raavan’ (2010), ‘Game’ (2011), ‘Dum Maaro Dum’(2011);’Players’ (2012), ‘Bol Bachchan’ (2012), ‘Dhoom 3’ (2013). He was seen in Farah Khan’s blockbuster hit ‘Happy New Year’. In year 2015,he worked in family drama ‘All Is Well’. And he then acted in ‘Housefull 3’(2016), which is sequel of 2010 & 2012’s ‘Housefull’ and ‘Housefull 2’.
