Anil Kapoor is the flexible and multifaceted Indian Actor and producers from Bollywood Industry born on 24th December 1956.He is well-known by his nick name Mr. India and Lakhaan along with his iconic dialogue Ekdum Jhakaas. He was born in a middle class Punjabi family in a chawl at Tilak Nagar to Surinder and Nirmal aka Suchitra Kapoor. Boney Kapoor the famous Bollywood producer is his elder brother and Sanjay Kapoor who is also an actor in Bollywood is his younger brother. Reena is his Elder sister who is married to famous Television personality Sandeep Marwah. He is brother in law of Beautiful and charming Indian actress Sri Devi. Anil Kapoor completed his schooling from Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School and did his college from St.Xaviers College in Mumbai. The actor married to famous costume designer Sunita Bhavnani Kapoor who has two daughters Sonam and Rhea Kapoor and one son Harshvardhan Kapoor. Anil Kapoor during his early day struggled a lot as was kicked out of college in Second year due to lack of presence, also he failed in written examination of the Pune Film Institute Examinations. He then later on joined Rohan Tanejas Acting School. He made debut as acting on Silver Screen with “Hamare Tumhare” in 1979 directed by Umesh Mehra. Also in the year 1980 he made his appearance in Telugu Movie “Vamsa Vruksham” as a lead actor in 1980. His first Bollywood lead role came up with the movie “Woh Saat Din” opposite Padmini Kolhapure and Naseerudin Shah released in 1983. But he received fame and recognition with Yash Chopra’s movie “Maashal” released in 1984 where he portrayed the character of Tapori Guy thereby winning first Filmfare Award as the Best Supporting Actor. He worked in many Bollywood assignments like “Yudh, Saheb” and “Meri Jung” where he received appreciations and his character was acclaimed. He received his first Film fare Best Actor Award in popular movie of 1988 “Tezaab” and also in “Beta” released in 1992. His work was acknowledged and appreciated in movies like “Mr. India”, “Deewana Mastana”, “Parinda”, “Kishen Kanhaiya”, “No Entry”, “Ram Lakhan”, “Khel”, “Gharwali Baharwali”, “Welcome”, “Laadla”, “Mr.Bechara”, “Hum Apke Dil Me Rehte Hain”, “Nayak” and “Pukar”. He won the Filmfare Critics Awards for Best Actor for “Karma”, “Mr. India” and “Virasat”. He made his debut in International Project with Danny Boyles Academy Award Winning Movie “Slumdog Millionaire” where he was awarded with Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance. Apart from acting he also produced number of movies like “My Wife’s Murder”, “Gandhi, My Father”, “Shortkut: The Con is On” and “Aisha”. He also lend his voice in “Chameli Ki Shaadi”, “Who Saat Din” and “Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai”. The actor will be featuring in upcoming movies “Mr.India 2”, “One Way Ticket”, “No Entry Mein Entry”, “Cities” and Power which will be released in following years. He enjoys travelling, painting and cricket is his favourite sport.
