got tuition? Spends a Day at Fontbonne University

Day 3

In a final "Day of Action" activity in St. Louis, Fontbonne University education majors and student organizers David Dickerson and Sharon Atlas canvassed those gathered tonight at the public viewing area outside the vice presidential debate at Washington University. As a result, 245 students, parents and grandparents signed the "Got Tuition?" petition asking federal and state elected leaders to make college education more affordable for more students and put on "Got Tuition?" t-shirts to raise awareness of college affordability as a national issue in 2008.

Day 2

"Got Tuition?" returned to Fontbonne University today, where 95 more students and instructors signed the "Got Tuition?" petition asking federal and state elected leaders to make college education more affordable for more students and put on "Got Tuition?" t-shirts to raise awareness of college affordability as a national issue in 2008.

Two of Fontbonne's students, Minh Truong and Sharon Atlas, offered questions for consideration by Gwen Ifill, the moderator of Thursday's vice presidential debate at Washington University.

"Got Tuition?" continues a series of "Day of Action" activities at area colleges and universities leading up to the vice presidential debate. We'll visit the campus of Maryville University during the lunch hour on Tuesday and the University of Missouri at Columbia on Wednesday.
