The 90 minute debate was to focus exclusively on foreign policy, yet the first 30 minutes focused on the crisis in the economy.  Sen. Obama mentioned the issue of college affordability twice--once in his opening statement (2:18-2:56 on the video). The second reference to making college more affordable came 26 minutes into the debate. With the financial trouble on Wall Street and the credit crunch, students and families now more than ever need to let lawmakers know that the need for more financial aid is more important than ever!  Sen. McCain did not mention the issue at all.
