In the Heart of the Sea is historical thriller drama releasing on 11th Dec, 2015. This movie is based on Nathaniel Philbrick’s 2000 non-fiction book of the same name. It is about the American whaling ship Essex which was sunk in 1820. During their journey the ship was rammed and was split in half by a mammoth fuming bull sperm whale. This leads the crew member, Captain George Pollard, Jr., first officer Owen Chase, second officer Matthew Joy, and cabin boy Thomas Nickerson to travel South America. But their journey is tormenting as the crew members have to do impossible things to stay alive. Right from braving storms, dehydration, fear, anguish and hunger. Their hunger leads to cannibalism, their survival questions their beliefs and strength. The crew members face a lot of emotional and physical turmoil.

The trailer shows the part of story telling and how Chris Hemsworth leave his family and promises to back back by summer. Their voyage is started with joy but that doesn’t stay for long. Their encounter with whale, the storm, their fight for survival is shown. In one scene it shown how Chris is drinking water from rock to quench his thirst. For all those who loves adventure and period movie this one is for you.
