Rana Daggubati is an Indian Film actor, producer, photographer and visual effect co-ordinator, who famously known for his predominant work in Telugu cinema, Tamil cinema as well as Bollywood industry. He was born to Telugu Film producer Daggubati Suresh Babu on 14th December 1984, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is grandson of D. Ramanaidu, who was famous film producer and was awarded with third highest civilian award in the Republic of India, the Padma Bhushan, for his contribution to Telugu cinema. Venkatesh Daggubati is his uncle and his cousin Naga Chaitanya, who are also actors in Telugu industry. He completed his schooling from Vengal Rao Nagar, Hyderabad. Before becoming an actor he began his career as a visual effects producer. In the year 2006, he bagged the State Nandi award for Best Special Effects for the Telugu flick, ‘Sainikudu’, which featured most popular Tamil film actor Mahesh babu. In that same year he won the National Film award for co-producing Telugu flick called ‘Bommalata – A Bellyful of Dreams’. After proving his calibre behind camera, Rana decided to try his hand in acting field. In the year 2010, he made his acting debut with the flick named ‘Leader’, which was emerged as blockbuster hit. And for his brilliant performance in this film he garnered Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut (South). He made his Hindi film debut with ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ (2011), which also starred Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu. He played a role of professional killer in the flick ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi ‘directed by Puri Jagannath, which grabbed massive earnings at the box office. He then appeared in crime thriller film ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ (2012), for which he received critical acclaim. Thereafter he made his made his Tamil film industry debut with Ajith Kumar’s directorial venture ‘Aarambam’. Then he did a cameo role in Ayan Mukerji’s blockbuster hit ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. He was next appeared in ‘Rudhramadevi’ (2015) alongside Anushka Shetty, which directed by Gunasekhar. In that very same year he was seen in one of the Hindi movie ‘Baby’ alongside Akshay Kumar, Danny Denzongpa, Anupam Kher, and Taapsee Pannu. Then he appeared in S.S. Rajamouli’s biggest venture ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, which earned huge success across the globe and registered as one of the highest gross opening Indian Film. And for his performance he also received lot of appreciation from critics. In the year 2016, he appeared in Tamil comedy drama flick ‘Bangalore Naatkal’.
