Saif Ali Khan is an Indian Film actor as well as producer. He was born to most popular former Indian cricket team captain Mansoor Ali Khan & Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore, on 16th of August, 1970, in New Delhi, India. He completed his schooling from Himachal Pradesh’s Lawrence School, Sanawar and then went on to higher studies at Lockers Park School, Hertfordshire, in England & Winchester College. Saif Ali khan has two sisters, one of them is actress Soha Ali Khan, who married to actor Kunal Khemu.Divorced from actress Amrita Singh, with whom he has two children namely, Ibrahim and Sara Ali Khan. And since 2012, he has been married to B-town actress Kareena Kapoor. In the year 1993, he made his acting debut in big screen with flick ‘Parampara’. Then he starred in ‘Aashiq Awara’, but his outstanding role came in the year 1994 with ‘Yeh Dillagi’, where he was seen opposite to Kajol and Akshay Kumar. The film was his first major hit. Thereafter he appeared as lead hero in several films. But he garnered success with multi-starred films such as ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ (1994), ‘Imtihaan’ (1995), ‘Kachche Dhaage’ (1999) and ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ (1999). He also had a hit in ‘Kya Kehna! ‘(2000), opposite Preity Zinta. After passing through a period of decline, he went to a peak of appreciation for his performance in coming-of-age comedy drama flick ‘Dil Chahta Hai’(2001), the drama ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ (2003) & the romantic comedy ‘Hum Tum’ (2004). His spectacular performance in all these films earned him the National Film Award for Best Actor. Till the year 2005,he established himself as one of the leading actors of Bollywood industry with phenomenal starring roles in flicks like, ‘Parineeta ‘ alongside Vidya Balan and romantic comedy film ‘Salaam Namaste’. In the year 2006, he appeared in ‘Being Cyrus’ and subsequently received great critical recognition for his portrayal role in this movie. In that same year he appeared in crime flick ‘Omkara ‘. He was next seen in ‘Kurbaan’(2009).His greatest commercial success have the 2008’s thriller flick ‘Race’ and its 2013’s sequel ‘Race 2’, the romance flick ‘Love Aaj Kal’(2009), romantic comedy film ‘Cocktail(2012) and then in the year 2015 he was seen in counter-terrorism drama flick ‘Phantom’, alongside Katrina Kaif. He is also bagged several prestigious awards such as the National Film Award, and six Filmfare award as well as awarded with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, by the Indian Government in the year 2010.
