Sanjay Dutt is an Indian Film actor and produced widely known for his spectacular work in the Bollywood industry. On 29th of July, 1959 he was born to veteran Hindi cinema actors Sunil Dutt & Nargis Dutt. He has two sisters Priya Dutt and Namrata Dutt. In the year 1987, he married to actress Richa Sharma and they have a daughter Trishala. After a death of his first spouse, he then tied a knot with Manyata in 2008 and the couple blessed with twins namely, Shahraan and Iqra. Spanning more than 35 years in the film industry, he has earned two Filmfare Awards, two IIFA Awards, two Bollywood Movie Awards, three Screen Awards, and three Stardust Awards, a Global Indian Film Award &, also  a Bengal Film Journalist’s Association Award and  played the lead role in four national award winning films. As a child artist he appeared in the 1972’s film ‘Reshma Aur Shera’ which featured his father Sanjay Dutt. Then in the year 1981,he made his Bollywood film debut with ‘Rocky’, which was the box office hit. Sanjay went on to star with the flick ‘Vidhaata’ , which was highest grossing film of the year 1982. And appeared in super hit flick ‘Main Awara Hoon’(1983). In the year 1985 he was seen in ‘Jaan ki Baazi’. Thereafter he appeared in several successful films throughout the 80s like, ‘Imaandaar’, ‘Inaam Dus Hazaar’, ‘Jeete Hain Shaan Se’ (1988), ‘Mardon Wali Baat’ (1988), ‘Ilaaka’ (1989),’ Hum Bhi Insaan Hain’ (1989), ‘Kanoon Apna Apna’ (1989), & ‘Taaqatwar’ (1989). With the 1986’s ‘Naam’ earned him first critical success and also marked as turning point in his career. After that his performance in ‘Kabzaa’ (1988) and J. P. Dutta’s ‘Hathyar’(1989), were also well appreciated by critics. His success continued in 1990s with the movies such as ‘Tejaa’, ‘Khatarnaak’, ‘Zahreelay’, ‘Thanedaar’, ‘Khoon Ka Karz’, ‘Yalgaar’, ‘Gumrah’, ‘Sahibaan’, & ‘Aatish: Feel the Fire’. He went on to star in some of the early 1990s hit movies like ‘Sadak’, ‘Saajan’ and ‘Khal Nayak’. Due to illegal arms possession he was arrested  under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act  1983. But after delivering his sentence with good behaviour & conduct , was released on 25th of February, 2016. In the year 1997, he was seen in ‘Daud’. And he was next acted in ‘Dushman’(1998). 1999 was an amazing year for him, as he started the year by featuring in several hit films such as ‘Kartoos’, ‘Khoobsurat’, ‘Daag: The Fire’,’ Haseena Maan Jayegi’, and ‘Vaastav: The Reality’. Then in following year he appeared in ‘Mission Kashmir’ which garnered him critical acclaim and numerous awards and nominations. Then he was continued to play lead role in most famous as well as critically appreciated films such as ‘Jodi No.1’ (2001), ‘Pitaah’ (2002), ‘Kaante’ (2002) & the National Award-winning blockbuster ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S’ (2003), which earned him many awards. ‘Musafir’ (2004), ‘Plan’ (2004), ‘Parineeta’ (2005) Dus’ (2005), ’ Shabd’ (2005) and ‘Zinda’. Then in the year blockbuster sequel ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ was released. He was next appeared in ‘Dhamaal’ (2007), ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ (2007), ‘All the Best’ (2009), ‘Double Dhamaal’ (2011), ‘Son of Sardaar’ (2012) and ‘Agneepath’ (2012). He played supporting character in directorial venture of Rajkumar Hirani ‘PK’ which was first Indian film to gross huge earnings worldwide. Despite of acting in Hindi cinema, he was also appeared in fifth edition of Indian reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ where he co-hosted the show alongside bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
